So I am cleaning up and I thought hey, why not do a feature for a while on different things that can help you organize your stamping area. And I say area, because well lets face it each of us have a different amount of area that you use to store your supplies, and where you stamp. For those of you that take out your stamps each time you feel the need to create, well, first, I am sorry....only because I know the frustration that you face because by the time you get all your stuff out to stamp and create you either have to change a diaper, or fix dinner or go to bed. I hope that by sharing my ideas about cleaning and organizing your supplies, you will either be able to find the space to even have a little area to keep your stuff out, or I can help inspire you to organize your space better. The space that is yours to create in sometimes gets over run with clutter, I know!!! There are tons of days where I should clean up my stamp space before I stamp some more, but creativity gets the best of me...lol...so who knows this could help me keep my creative space clean as well!!! I am not promising anything though!! A messy space just means I have been busy creating instead of just looking at and hoarding my stuff!!
Today I would like to start off with something that we all have and love to collect!! That is paper! whether it be 8.5 x 11 or 12 x 12 or other sizes it needs to be stored. There are many ways to store your paper, you can store it in file folders, as seen here, you can also see that each color has a sample on the tag so that you can see the color. You could also make your tabs out of the colors of each. I have each color family here together with each color in an individual folder, you could also group your colors together, if you have light red, and dark red, light blue and dark blue etc. the rack could be anything, rubbermaid makes a tote that has the rails, or bankers boxes work as well. The rack that I have is available at costco, but not all the time, i have mostly been able to find it in the spring when people are cleaning and organizing their files and other things the most. This rack is great because there is shelving and drawers below which i use to store full packs of paper.
Another way to store paper is vertical storage boxes, these are great if you only have a few sheets of different types of paper, you can get dividers for them, and they store wonderfully on a shelf or the top of a desk or table.
If you cut your cardstock or like to have prefolded card bases readily available, the Forget me Not Keeper is ideal for 1/4 sheets or prefolded cardstock. They come with dividers and labels for easy labeling. They are great for storing other things as well, but we will get to those as the weeks progress.
If you have a small amount of paper, or you would like to store your paper with your scraps of that color, a good way to store it is with a Craft Keeper. They come in various sizes and the great thing about them is that they close. you could store them all together, and just take out the ones you need for the project you are working on. you could also use these just to store scraps in, and then slide them in the vertical storage boxes next to your full sheets of paper.

want to come to my house and help organize??? looks great
